Servestare recruiting for a Chef Manager based at a prestigious site in Worcester.
Day to day the role involves you managing a team of around 10 staff being kitchen based cooking in the morning and making sure the unit runs efficiently and effectively with regards to service standards, timeframes and presentation. With then associated management duties such as bookwork being completed after service. You will manage the unit which includes a main restaurant with a grab and go catering outlet with deli/salad bar and busy coffee outlet as well as onsite hospitality. You will also be require to attend manager and client meetings onsite.
As the Chef Manager you will report into the Group Operations Manager, you will need a background of Chef management within a Business and Industry site ideally with an onsite coffee bar and hospitality function. The site is open 5 days a week- the role is predominantly Monday- Friday, working 40 hours between- 7.30am-4pm- (some flexibility may be needed). The unit is a busy site with a fast flow in the restaurant, with over 1000 onsite at any time the flow of the service, quality of the food and customer satisfaction is paramount.
We are looking for Catering Manager with the following-
- A background within Business and Industry Catering- retail focused (Ideally including Coffee and hospitality background)
- Experience in managing a team of at least 8
- An interest in quality fresh food with a retail twist- we are looking for innovation in the menus
- Ideally experience in a unit which services an onsite capacity of at least 750
- The ability to lead by example and build a team and train to exceed customers' expectations.
- Superb customer service skills
- Ability to train health and safety to the team is advantageous
- Financial awareness with the ability to manage budgetary lines
