The Walkabout brand prides itself on providing customers with a relaxed Australian atmosphere, boasting an authentic Australian food and drinks menu, the best in live sport and entertainment, huge sport screens and live bands and DJs.
Sheffield's Walkabout is housed in a former chapel, making a superb venue.
The site went through a major refurbishment in August 2015 involving a full re-design of the main bar, which now features a cross section of a polished aluminium American style camper van, equipped to double up as a second bar, serving both hot and cold drinks.
A spectacular canopied outdoor decking area has also been created and includes a second iconic camper van fitted out as a bar. The former Methodist Chapels original features have been highlighted, including its centre piece organ, galleried seating and original preachers pulpit which now serves at the DJ booth.
The refurbishment includes a stunning Reef Bar for the main bar area, where linked-screens showing under-sea and beach footage will give the impression of being in a Great Barrier Reef-like paradise.
The Reef Bar boasts a variety of pre-bookable booths and private areas for parties, meals, club nights and live music, along with V.I.P. areas, along with a brand new, state-of-the-art sound & light system.
Trading 7 days per week with pre-bookable areas available for all major televised live sports events which are shown on giant projection screens, and multiple HD TVs, reaffirming Walkabouts reputation as the number one live sports venue on the high street.
The successful candidate will have a keen eye for standards and a proven track record in managing a multi-faceted large business. The venue is in a great place so someone with passion and creativity to be able to think of innovative ways to drive the venue even further forwards is desirable.
The key reasons to visit must be maximised as well as being able to demonstrate growth opportunities of daytime sales to enhance and build upon the existing food trade.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for delivering a great sporting experience driving additional sales through social media and capitalising on the already large sports following the venue has. Being surrounded by competitors the ideal candidate must be able to stand their ground to gain and grow the late night party segment of the business, ensuring the delivery of a safe and successful weekend and student trade.
